Digital Imaging

The airship has a custom-built camera platform housing high quality stills or broadcast quality equipment. The primary characteristics of the camera platform and equipment are:

• a three axis head providing remotely controlled 310° pan, 210° tilt, and 360° roll

• high stability (further enhanced by the camera's in-built stabilisation)

• high resolution photography and broadcast performance to suit a wide range of needs with simple transfer between formats

• a wide range of image capture from 0 - 400ft

• a live video downlink to a ground based monitor allowing real-time viewing and image capture control

• immediate transfer and storage of the results in a variety of formats

• post-production enhancement including photographic 'interpretation' using text, reference, and identification points for use with blueprints, drawings, etc; and

• a wide range of digital enhancement and printing options can be utilised with minimal delay
